Sessions
The bulk of this program is based upon ten key sessions. There are seven sessions that are focused solely on the student and one is a joint session with parents and students. There are two additional sessions, one that is just for the parents and one that is for those who act as a transition mentor for the students.
Your Next Steps
- This first session is a joint session for both parents and students.
- Families will be introduced to the fact that they are about to enter into a new phase of their lives that will be different than what they’ve known up until this point. By exposing families to these issues they will feel more confident in dealing with what lies before them.
Discovering Your Voice
- Student session
- Through this session the students will be able to hold on to their own strengths, their own unique voice and their God given purpose in an environment that tries to shape them into something other than who God created them to be.
New Relationships
- Student session
- Through this session the students will identify the kind of friends that they need in their lives and be able to express what they have to offer to others in their new communities.
Self Leadership
- Student session
- Through this session the students will learn how to create balance in their schedule and how to develop the right set of daily disciplines that will help them reach their personal goals.
Owning What You Believe
- Student session
- Through this session students will identify the areas of their life that are not negotiable and begin to work on strengthening areas that they have not taken ownership of.
Dealing With Failure
- Student session
- Through this session the students will understand that we have all been given the power to overcome temptations and the ability to continue on our journey when we make mistakes.
Missional Living
- Student session
- Through this session the students will be able to identify how they will contribute to God’s mission of restoring a broken world.
Financial Responsibility
- Student session
- Through this session students will increase their understanding and application of biblical concepts of stewardship by encouraging students to incorporate practical personal disciplines with regard to financial management.
Parents Sessions
- Parents will be encouraged to take on a new role of support and resist the pull to disengage as things get difficult. They will also learn to lean on each other to find encouragement & resources.

- Mentor relationships are shaped by grace and empowerment. Your mentors will be trained in how to help build power into the lives of your students as they transition into the next phase of their life.
